TWS & PPC Errors

so, to summarize:
- STW (which should come from a log sensor right?) is wrong
- TWA is not present at all
All other errors are deriving from these.
Am I correct?

Yes, exactly.

In fact if you fix STW being completely wrong AND either add TWA or TWD or remove TWS that will be OK.
You can actually do it by filtering the NMEA input in qtVlm: filter out $TIVHW and $TIMWD and that should be more or less OK.
Better fix the source IMO.

What is your speed sensor (brand, ref) ? Can you see it on a display and is it correct ?
Was it ok in the past, or is it a new setup ?

Hi, my speed sensor is the Garmin Wind Bundle 52. on the dedicated external displays the data seem to be correct.

It is actually a new setup but the electronics which is doing the job is very well established, so i was not expecting issues....

So if it is correct on the display, it is not your sensor. You said that it is connected to the AIS broadcasting in wifi. The problem is probably there...
