Raspberry pi 4 Ubuntu version was created by sparticle
Hi I have a 4GB Raspberry pi 4 running the latest Ubuntu 18.04.3 Ubuntu Desktop. How can I get your software running on this platform as this will probably be our base platform for building our next gen low power Navigation Computer to be integrated into our boat.

Cheers

Yes it just would not run and complaned about it being in teh wrong format.

I also tried compiling OpenCPN and that worked fine and is running pretty well on Ubuntu. I cannot however get the cart plugins osenc or S63 to work as they only compile as armhf and they are not compatible.

The Pi4 will be the new standard very soon it is simply much more powerful and useful for this job.and Ubuntu is the most widely used Linux desktop environment with the most active development community.

What version did you tried to install? You should be trying the Raspberry build, not the Linux one.

Yes tried it. It just complains about no such file. I changed the paths t the correct paths in my case home/ubuntu/Downloads/qtVlm and tried running /home/ubuntu/Downloads/qtVlm/qtVlm also tried changing into qtVlm directory and running ./qtVlm nothing works.

Without a version compiled for the aarch64 Rpi4 platform I suspect it will not work.

I will test on another rpi4 that is running raspbian.
